For 40 years, Prime Time Adult Care has provided stimulating, safe, and compassionate day services for older Pittsburghers.

Prime Time allows your loved one to remain at home longer, potentially delaying the need for long-term placement. While they are here, caregivers receive much-needed respite time to replenish their physical, social, mental, and emotional well-being.

We Believe Every Senior Deserves to Thrive

In 1985, a small group of compassionate people asked a life-changing question: What if daycare services could help adults who need assistance and supervision remain at home longer while giving their caregivers safe, affordable respite?

That question became Prime Time Adult Care, a nonprofit licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, rooted in community, and built to serve both the people who need care and the people who give it. Forty years later, the mission hasn't changed.

Over 40 Years of Service Aging Adults and Caregivers

For Your Aging Loved One

Maybe your mom used to be the life of the party. Maybe your dad built things with his hands his whole life. Maybe the person you care for is sharper than people give them credit for, but they just need a little more support these days.

They don't want to sit alone at home, but they don't want to feel like a burden. They want to laugh, connect, stay active, and feel like themselves. That's exactly what we offer at Prime Time every single day.

An elderly woman wearing glasses, a pink sweater, and a name tag with 'Gina' on it, is smiling and holding the face of a golden retriever dog. She is sitting in a wheelchair. The dog is standing and looking at the woman, with its head gently held in her hands. There are two people seated behind them near a glass door with stop signs.

For the Caregiver

Prime Time is for the caregiver too. The daughter who rearranged her whole life, the son who drives across town every morning, the spouse who hasn't had a moment to themselves in years—we see you too.

Our center gives you something precious: time. Time to work, to rest, to pursue what matters to you. And when you pick up your loved one at 4 pm, you'll see it on their face; they had a great day. And so did you.
